Downsizing?

DWP Carpet Binding had a recent rush of people looking to "downsize" their carpets. In some cases, the customer was downsizing in home space, therefore needed to re-size their carpets. In other cases, they found a great deal on a carpet too large, bought it and sought out DWP to get it to the right size.

This is not at all unusual. After the big bail-out that happened a few years back and mortgage loans faulting left and right, many people came in with carpet that was once wall-to-wall, to make multiple area rugs out of them for their new homes.

These are examples of practical situations where using a carpet binding service is helpful. There's no need to buy a new rug, wasting a perfectly fine piece that is in good condition. Plus, it's earth-friendly, right?

In other news:
We had our first Jerry Garcia brand carpet in!
I never knew this existed in all honesty. DWP received the rug in because the customer wanted to take four inches off of each side (reducing the length by a total of eight inches). Why is this exciting for me? Well, quite frankly for one reason only - Dan has a collection of Jerry Garcia ties. He jokes that he'll only buy them when they're on sale, but considering the amount he has hanging in his closet, I presume it's his favorite brand. I can see why too. There's always a funky design that adds flare to any outfit when paired with a JG tie. In looking at the unique area rug we received in, I can say the same about the line of carpets! It was a busy patterned carpet with great use of earth tones. Yet, the design was so abstract and unique your eyes will have you believe that you're in a tie-dye wonder (though it's not tie-dye at all, I use that term for the visual image one would picture).

In the market for a new carpet?
Are you a flea-market junkie?
You can catch Dan at The Elephant's Trunk!
( New Milford, CT )
this Sunday, September 9th, 2012.

DWP Carpet Binding is preparing to get a new trailer full of carpets in the very near future. Therefore we're trying to deplete the stock we have in house to make room for the new arrivals!
Last week Dan was in Wallingford at the Redwood Country Flea Market and sold quite a few pieces. He is blowing them out at bottom line prices, so, you don't want to miss him this weekend in New Milford! He'll have small mats, runners and area rugs available, of various sizes, textures and colors! Grab them at discount prices while the big sale is still on!

I'd also like to say
Thank You
to all of our customers!

Happy Weekend, everybody!
